We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to source us a reliable expert for our home improvement. We joined and advertised our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left abandoned at sea.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?
We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their approved traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
Right away, the response from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to talk about the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling angry and would definitely not recommend Checkatrade for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade became a total disaster. I booked a trader through their website to complete some crucial home repairs. They looked legitimate at first, but it turned out a terrible ordeal.
Despite I sent the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Communication ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.
Checkatrade has been useless throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
